Denver Airport Runaway Death Canada obituary

The last thing 224 passengers aboard a Frontier Flight 4345 on a Denver runway heard was a thud no one expected..

It was 11:19 PM on Friday night. Frontier Flight 4345 was rolling down Runway 17L, LAX-bound, 231 souls on board. Then the plane hit something that wasn’t supposed to be there.

A person. A man who had just climbed a fence. In two minutes, he went from outside the perimeter to under the wheels of an Airbus A321neo.

Pilots slammed the brakes. The cabin filled with smoke and the smell of burning rubber. Emergency slides deployed into the Colorado darkness. Twelve passengers were rushed for treatment. Five went to hospital.

The person who climbed that fence didn’t make it.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy put it bluntly: ‘No one should ever trespass on an airport.’ But the question everyone is asking right now is the same: who was he? And how did he get through?

Hours later, the victim’s name still hasn’t been released. No obituary. No funeral arrangements. Just a family somewhere who doesn’t know yet.

Authorities say he wasn’t an employee. He intentionally scaled that fence. What drove a man to climb into a runway at midnight?

We’ll update this post the moment the name is released
